Offshore Winds and their effects on Stand-Up Paddleboards |
Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) has experienced a surge in popularity in recent years. However, along with this growth in participation, there has also been a substantial increase in the number of individuals encountering difficulties while out on their SUPs.
Recent statistics released by the RNLI show that offshore winds have been a significant contributor in Stand-Up Paddleboarders getting into trouble.

British Canoeing Incident Reporting
|
Reporting incidents helps British Canoeing to identify paddlesport issues and safety concerns across the country. The online system can be used by members and non-members to report incidents and notable events (near misses). These are treated confidentially and used to improve safety for everyone.
To make it easier to report an incident a QR code has been created which goes directly to British Canoeing's online incident reporting system. This sheet could be used digitally or as a hard copy in a suitable location. The main British Canoeing incident reporting website page can be found here.
For any safety related queries, please contact: safety@britishcanoeing.org.uk. |
