The NEW Inland Open Water Safety and Rescue course aims to provide paddlers with the key safety and rescue skills required to operate safely in a moderate inland open water environment.

The course is suitable for all ages and great for individuals, clubs and groups wanting to expand their safety practices.

Created as part of the What it Takes to Progress athlete development framework, these videos break down how to successfully achieve a wide range of slalom competencies in both canoe and kayak.

Reporting an incident or notable event is important for the whole paddling community to enable us all to learn and avoid such incidents happening again. At British Canoeing we have a reporting system that helps us alongside other UK databases to recognise themes and action appropriate messaging and education.

Every BCAB Instructor, Coach, Leader and Guide can deliver the Paddle Safer and some of the Personal Performance Awards. Great for your paddlers development in 2023.
